The SEE Foundation board is comprised of our school principal, a teacher, a community member and four Simpson parents. The SEE Foundation Board will be conducting surveys of teachers and parents to determine projects and programs for funding. After research and careful consideration, the SEE Foundation Board will determine which projects fit our mission: to provide the long-term leadership, vision, and financial support necessary to enhance the educational opportunities and facilities, ensuring the success of all students, staff, and parents in the Simpson community.
How can this Foundation help Simpson? Other local school foundations have funded new positions such as computer and science lab managers, foreign language instructors and other teaching positions. Some have provided training and support for teachers by financing teacher grants for continuing education and funding the enrichment staff for Science, Spanish and the Performing Arts. Others have supplied monies for technology upgrades, expanded curriculum materials and funded media center renovations.
Initial funding will come from contributions made by the families and friends of Simpson. Founding Members will have their names memorialized on a plaque, by membership level, which will be prominently displayed in the lobby of our school. There will be a membership drive and a fundraising event annually. Any donation is appreciated. Donations can be sent to: Simpson Eagles Educational Foundation, 3340 Trickum Road, Marietta, Georgia 30066. Checks should be made payable to the SEE Foundation.
